Quick answer: You can connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok to your real sleep, workout, meal and goal data through AllStrong's free connector. In the AI app, add a custom connector with the address https://api.allstrong.app/mcp, sign in with your AllStrong account, and choose which types of data the AI can see. Logging is off unless you turn it on, and you can disconnect at any time from the AllStrong app. Gemini and Microsoft Copilot are coming later.

Why connect your own AI to your health data

Most people already ask a chatbot about training and food. The trouble is that it doesn't know anything about you. You ask "is my protein high enough?" and it gives you a range for a generic adult, because it has never seen what you actually ate.

A connector changes the input, not the AI. Once Claude, ChatGPT or Grok can read the AllStrong data you allow, it can answer from your own log: last week's meals, last month's sleep, the sets you did on Tuesday, the goal you set in January. You keep using the assistant you already like, in the app you already have open.

The connector uses the Model Context Protocol (MCP), an open standard that lets an AI app talk to an outside service. You don't need to know how it works to use it. You need one address and about three steps in each app.

What you need before you start

  • An AllStrong account. The connector is free on every account. You don't need Premium.
  • A supported AI app. Claude (any plan), ChatGPT on the web with a Pro, Business or Enterprise plan, or Grok on the web at grok.com.
  • The connector address: https://api.allstrong.app/mcp

The easiest way to set up is from inside AllStrong. Go to Profile > Connect Your AI. That screen shows the steps for each AI app, a button to copy or share the address, and a button that opens that app's connector settings. It also lists which AI apps are connected right now.

How to connect Claude

Claude works on any Claude plan. The Free plan allows one custom connector.

  1. In Claude, open Settings > Connectors (claude.ai/customize/connectors).
  2. Click +, then Add custom connector.
  3. Name it AllStrong and paste https://api.allstrong.app/mcp.
  4. Click Connect, sign in with your AllStrong account, and choose what Claude can see.

Once it's added, the connector works in Claude on the web, on desktop and on mobile.

How to connect ChatGPT

Set this up in ChatGPT on the web. You need a Pro, Business or Enterprise plan. On Pro, ChatGPT can read your data but can't log it for you.

  1. Open Settings > Apps > Advanced settings and turn on Developer mode.
  2. Back in Apps, choose Create.
  3. Name it AllStrong, paste https://api.allstrong.app/mcp, and choose OAuth.
  4. Sign in with your AllStrong account and choose what ChatGPT can see.

How to connect Grok

Set this up in Grok on the web at grok.com.

  1. Open Connectors (grok.com/connectors) and click New Connector.
  2. Choose Custom and paste https://api.allstrong.app/mcp.
  3. Sign in with your AllStrong account and choose what Grok can see.

What about Gemini and Microsoft Copilot?

They aren't available yet. Both are coming later. For now, the connector works with Claude, ChatGPT and Grok.

Choosing what the AI can see

When you sign in, AllStrong shows you a screen that names the AI app and lists the types of data it's asking for. You choose, per type, what to share. Nothing is shared until you approve.

Seeing your data and logging data are separate choices. Allowing the AI to read your meals does not let it add meals. Logging stays off unless you turn it on.

Not sure where to start? Share only the one or two types you have questions about, like sleep and workouts. You can disconnect and connect again later with a different set.

What the AI can read

Only the types you allow, from this list. Only entries you record in AllStrong are shared: data imported from Apple Health or Health Connect is never shared with a connected AI app.

  • Nutrition: your nutrition targets, TDEE (total daily energy expenditure), micronutrients and meal history
  • Training: workout history, including exercises, sets, reps, top weight and cardio, plus your personal records
  • Sleep: the nights you log, including duration, quality and averages
  • Body: biometrics such as weight, body fat, resting heart rate, blood pressure and measurements
  • Daily life: water, daily check-ins and mood
  • Goals, and a one-day summary that pulls a single day together

What the AI can do if you allow logging

If you turn logging on, you can tell the AI what you did and it records it in AllStrong for you. It can log:

  • Meals and water
  • Sleep, mood and daily check-ins
  • Exercises and workouts
  • Biometrics, like a morning weigh-in

It can also delete your last entry, which is handy when it logs the wrong thing. Anything the AI logs is saved as if you'd entered it yourself, so it's worth a quick look at your log the first few times.

Example prompts to try

Questions work best when they name a time window and the data you care about. A few to start with:

  • "How did my sleep change on days I trained hard this month?"
  • "What's my protein average this week vs my target?"
  • "Which lifts have I set personal records on in the last 90 days?"
  • "Summarize yesterday: food, water, sleep and training."
  • "How has my resting heart rate moved since I started my goal?"
  • "Which micronutrients have I been lowest on this month?"

And if logging is on:

  • "Log 2 eggs and toast for breakfast."
  • "Log 3 sets of 8 squats at 185 lb."
  • "I slept about 7 hours last night. Log it."
  • "Delete that last entry."

If the protein question is the one you care about, it helps to know what your target should be first. Our guide on how much protein you need per day covers that.

What the AI can't do

  • It can't see data you didn't allow. The connection only covers the types you approved. It doesn't open any other part of your AllStrong account.
  • It can't log anything unless you turned logging on. On ChatGPT Pro it can't log at all.
  • It isn't a doctor. What an AI app tells you from your data is for information only. It isn't medical advice or a diagnosis. Talk to a clinician before making medical decisions.
  • It can't reach Child Profiles. Child Profiles can't connect, and their data isn't available through the connector.

Teens can connect only an AI app whose own terms allow their age, and they'll be asked to confirm that the parent or guardian who approved their account also approves the connection.

Privacy and training settings

Here is how the data moves. When you connect, AllStrong sends the data types you chose to that AI app, at your direction, so it can answer your requests. The AI app is a separate company. Once it has the data, its own privacy policy and terms decide how it stores and uses it, not AllStrong's.

On AllStrong's side, per our privacy policy: we receive no payment from any connected app, the data isn't used for advertising, and we do not sell your personal information to third parties. We keep a record of which app asked for which type of data and whether the request worked, but not the content of the data itself. The full rules are in our AI Connector Terms.

Training settings, as those companies describe them

Whether an AI company may use your chats to train its models depends on your plan and settings with that company. Here's what each says, as of October 20, 2026:

  • Claude: Team and Enterprise plans are not used for training. On Free, Pro or Max, turn off "Help improve Claude" in Settings > Privacy.
  • ChatGPT: Business and Enterprise are not used for training by default. On a personal plan, turn off "Improve the model for everyone" in Settings > Data controls.
  • Grok: on a personal plan, turn off model training in Settings > Data Controls.

These are other companies' settings, and they can change. Check each company's own help pages before you rely on them.

Disconnecting

In the AllStrong app, go to Profile > Connect Your AI and disconnect the app, or email support@allstrong.app from the address on your account. The AI app loses access right away. Disconnecting doesn't delete data the AI app already received; for that, contact the AI app directly. If you later ask AllStrong to delete your health data, we'll notify each connected app we shared it with.

How this fits with AllStrong's own coach

AllStrong has its own AI coach inside the app, with a daily chat limit that depends on your plan. Questions you ask through Claude, ChatGPT or Grok don't use those daily chats. You can use both: the in-app coach for quick logging, and your own AI for longer questions across weeks of data.

Frequently asked questions

Can I connect ChatGPT or Claude to my health and fitness data?

Yes. AllStrong has a connector built on the Model Context Protocol (MCP). Add the address https://api.allstrong.app/mcp as a custom connector in Claude, ChatGPT or Grok, sign in with your AllStrong account, and choose which types of data the AI app can see. It is free for every AllStrong account.

Do I need a paid plan to use the AllStrong connector?

Not on AllStrong's side: the connector is free and does not need Premium. The AI app has its own rules. Claude works on any plan, and the Free plan allows one custom connector. ChatGPT needs a Pro, Business or Enterprise plan on the web, and on Pro it can read your data but not log it for you. Grok is set up on the web at grok.com.

Can the AI log meals and workouts for me?

Only if you allow it. Logging is off by default. If you turn it on when you connect, the AI app can log meals, water, sleep, mood and check-ins, exercises and workouts, and biometrics, and can delete your last entry. Read access and logging are granted separately.

Does Gemini or Microsoft Copilot work with AllStrong?

Not yet. Gemini and Microsoft Copilot are coming later. Today the AllStrong connector works with Claude, ChatGPT and Grok.

What happens to my data when I connect an AI app?

AllStrong sends the data types you choose to that AI app at your direction, so it can answer your requests. The AI app is a separate company, and its own privacy policy governs what it does with the data. AllStrong receives no payment from any connected app, the data is not used for advertising, and AllStrong does not sell your personal information.

How do I disconnect an AI app from AllStrong?

In the AllStrong app, go to Profile, then Connect Your AI, and disconnect the app. You can also email support@allstrong.app from the address on your account. Disconnecting stops all future sharing right away. It does not delete data the AI app already received; for that, contact the AI app directly.
